Hi All,

I recently brought my M5 from somebody who before I drove away, they showed me how to select the songs by advanced search (and thus then scrolling through the lists), and ALSO the ability to select the album/artist/ etc by letter.

I cannot for the life of me fathom out how to do this myself, and the chap can't remember either!

Can anyone help a newbie!?

Thanks

Neil

You can't select Playlist/Album/Artist/Song by letter, we experimented with it but it's unusable due to the constraints and speed of the KCA-420i, there was one version of the firmware with it in but it's pretty unlikely that you have this installed on your Intravee.

You probably have firmware V5.31-306 installed, maybe 5.40-323.  If you register your Intravee serial number (see the FAQ at http://www.intravention.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1110.0 ) then you can update to V6 firmware and we can tell you which firmware is installed on the Intravee.

If the Intravee is set for 'Advanced Search' then the search menu will be a scrolling list of items, with V5 firmware you must enable Enhanced features to enable Advanced Search.

Hi

I have firmware V5.31 - and have enhanced features switched on - whenever I try to search in the way you'd expect, it doesn't scroll.

I only have the MkIII nav however?

Many Thanks

The MK III Nav does not support enhanced features. If you use Enhanced Features with a MK III then the search screen will not be displayed and the display will just remain on the previous screen.

Turn off Enhanced Features and use Fast Search instead.
